TSL Week 5 Results:
Unwanted got onto the score board with its 3-0 win over Lucky Punch. Meanwhile the Red Alert juggernaut continues to roll forward with its 3-0 victory over Praxeum. Skillosophy moved ahead in the standings as well with their 3-0 victory over Mortal Legion. We also saw two closer matches– Due Prejudice went up 2-1 against team 21-zero, including one game that stretched to two and a half hours of real time. 7th Fleet pulled ahead of Cookie with a 2-1 win.
In addition, all of the postponed games from previous weeks have now been played. Team 21Z finished their series against Cookie with two more wins, for a total 3-0 result which helped them move up to third place. Praxeum finished their third game against Mortal Legion, bringing that series to 3-0 for Praxeum as well. Due Prejudice won their third game against Skillosophy, and that series is now also 3-0.
With the postponed games in and Due Prejudice’s wins against highly-ranked team 21Z, they’re now in second place, just a single win behind Red Alert (though with a bye next week, we’ll see them drop off a little). Team 21Z is just behind them in third place. Eclipsis, who had a bye this week, runs up fourth place.
There are six weeks left of TSL, of which one game is a bye for any team that has played 15 games. In theory, any team who plays perfectly could still make the finals if the front runners stumble badly enough. Next week, that window could shut forever on the teams at the bottom. Stay tuned to TSL coverage to see what happens, especially with the hotly contested 7th Fleet vs Eclipsis match this Friday.
